Terms of Service
Last updated: May 3, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and Monoglot (“Monoglot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of our website, products, models, applications, APIs, and any related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, by joining a waitlist, or by clicking any “agree,” “sign up,” or similar control, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction (and at least 13 years old in any case) to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and that any information you provide is accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your account or contact details, and for keeping your credentials confidential. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at any time, with or without notice, in our sole discretion.
2. Beta, Changes, and Availability
The Services are made available on an evolving basis and may include features that are pre-release, beta, experimental, or otherwise unfinished. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time, with or without notice, without liability to you. We do not guarantee any level of uptime, availability, performance, accuracy, or compatibility, and we may impose usage limits, quotas, rate limits, or other restrictions in our sole discretion.
3. Your Content & Inputs
“Your Content” means any data, audio, video, text, imagery, voice samples, or other material that you upload, submit, provide, or otherwise make available to the Services, including through APIs. You retain ownership of Your Content, subject to the rights you grant us below.
You hereby grant Monoglot a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to host, store, copy, transmit, transcribe, translate, dub, synthesize, process, analyze, and create derivative works from Your Content solely as necessary to operate, maintain, provide, secure, and improve the Services and to deliver outputs to you. You represent and warrant that (a) you own or have all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions to upload Your Content and to grant the rights above; (b) Your Content does not and will not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any third party’s intellectual-property, publicity, privacy, contractual, or other rights; and (c) Your Content complies with all applicable laws.
4. Voices, Likenesses & Synthetic Media
The Services can produce synthetic voice and audiovisual outputs (“Synthetic Media”). You are solely responsible for obtaining all rights, releases, consents, and permissions from every person whose voice, likeness, performance, or identifying characteristics appear in Your Content or in any Synthetic Media you generate. You agree that you will not use the Services to create Synthetic Media of any person without their explicit, informed, documented consent, and you will comply with all applicable laws governing voice, likeness, biometric data, deepfakes, election integrity, and consumer protection. Monoglot disclaims all liability for any unauthorized use of any third party’s voice, likeness, or identity by you.
5. Acceptable Use
You will not, and will not attempt to, use the Services to:
- violate any law, regulation, court order, or third-party right, including intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, defamation, and consumer-protection laws;
- create, distribute, or facilitate sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or any content that exploits or endangers a minor;
- generate deceptive, fraudulent, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or impersonating content, including political deepfakes, non-consensual likenesses, or content designed to mislead the public;
- generate content that promotes terrorism, violent extremism, self-harm, weapons of mass destruction, or other harmful conduct;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, probe, or circumvent the Services, our security, our rate limits, or any technical protection measures;
- use the Services to train, fine-tune, or build a competing product, model, or dataset;
- interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Services or any third-party systems integrated with them;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation, share or resell access without authorization, or use stolen, fraudulent, or unauthorized payment instruments.
We may, at our sole discretion and without liability, remove, quarantine, or refuse to process content; suspend or terminate access; report violations to authorities; and take any other action we deem appropriate.
6. AI Outputs & No Reliance
Outputs of AI systems can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, offensive, or otherwise unsuitable for your needs. The Services do not provide professional advice of any kind. You are solely responsible for evaluating the appropriateness of any output and for any decisions, distribution, or actions you take based on it. Where required by law, you will clearly disclose to end users when content has been generated, modified, or dubbed by AI.
7. Intellectual Property
As between you and Monoglot, Monoglot and its licensors own all right, title, and interest in and to the Services, including all software, models, weights, documentation, branding, and any improvements, modifications, or derivative works thereof, and all related intellectual-property rights. No rights are granted to you except as expressly set out in these Terms.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and any applicable payment obligations, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your internal or personal use during the term of these Terms.
8. Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, ideas, or recommendations regarding the Services (“Feedback”), you grant Monoglot a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, fully paid-up license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and commercialize that Feedback for any purpose, without compensation or attribution.
9. Fees, Trials & Billing
Some Services may require payment. Fees, free credits, free minutes, trial periods, and any promotional terms are as displayed at the time of sign-up and may be changed prospectively. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly stated by us. You are responsible for all taxes other than taxes on our net income. We may suspend or terminate access for any unpaid amount.
10. Third-Party Services
The Services may interoperate with or link to third-party products, content, websites, or services. We are not responsible for any third-party offering or your use of it, and your interactions are governed by the third party’s own terms.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services and all outputs are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. Monoglot expressly disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted operation, security, or that any defects will be corrected. We do not warrant that any output will be accurate, unbiased, complete, lawful, suitable for your purpose, or free of third-party claims.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Monoglot or its officers, directors, employees, agents, suppliers, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Monoglot’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Monoglot for the Services in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so the foregoing may not apply to you in full.
13. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Monoglot and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, suppliers, and licensors from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) Your Content; (b) any output you generate, distribute, or rely on; (c) your use of the Services; (d) your violation of these Terms or any law; or (e) your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual-property, publicity, or privacy rights.
14. Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to all or part of the Services at any time, with or without notice or cause. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, license grants from you, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive termination.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (which may include posting an updated version on the Services). Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Monoglot is principally established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that jurisdiction for any dispute that is not resolved through good-faith negotiation, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any competent court. To the maximum extent permitted by law, any claim must be brought in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.
17. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with any policies referenced here, constitute the entire agreement between you and Monoglot with respect to the Services and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign these Terms freely. There are no third-party beneficiaries to these Terms.
